This site was made to let you know of a new scholarship fund
that has been established specifically targeting individuals who wish to enter
the ministry in the Northwest or Northcentral United States with a current
emphasis on the states of Montana and Wyoming.
The scholarship fund has
been created in the memory of Walter Paden of Glasgow, Montana. Walter dedicated
his life to the Lord's work in rural Montana and I feel that he would be very
excited to have a scholarship fund created in his memory that is dedicated to
providing scholarships and financial support for individuals who wish to
continue in his footsteps.
If you know of anyone who wants to attend a
Christian college or a preaching school and then return to Montana or Wyoming to
start their ministry, I would appreciate if you would let them know about this
scholarship fund. The Foundation is starting out small, but we are planning on
granting our first scholarship beginning in the Fall of 2010. Currently the
scholarship will be $1,000 per semester for a total of $2,000 per year.
The scholarship is currently planned to be a one year scholarship, however if
the recipient is in good standing at the school that they choose to attend, they
will be given a priority in selecting the next years scholarship recipient,
however they will not be guaranteed a scholarship in future years. The focus on
awarding the scholarships will be based on financial need and a strong desire to
enter the ministry in the Northwest and Northcentral United States with an
emphasis in the states of Montana and Wyoming.
What we desire most of
all is your prayers that we will be successful in finding individuals who are
willing to serve in the ministry in the Northwest and Northcentral United States
that will be able to further the Lord's work there. We have enclosed a copy of
our scholarship application if you could provide it to anyone who is needing
assistance in attending a Christian college or preaching school that intends to
begin their ministry in the Northwest or Northcentral United States.
In
Him, Nathan Paden, on behalf of the Walter Paden Memorial Foundation
